I'm Chelsea Peterson. I've been working in acrylic pouring since 2020, from a home studio in Evans, Georgia. My pieces live with collectors across the United States, through direct sales and commissions.
The work
Pour painting is physical. I mix acrylic, fluid medium, and water by volume, move the paint with air, and let gravity finish what I started. Nothing is planned the way a figurative painter plans — pieces are composed in the pour, not before it. Every original is one moment, unrepeatable.
The studio
My studio is a six-foot table, three lights, and far too many squeeze bottles. Most pieces take three to fourteen days from first pour to final varnish. Some take longer; some get scrapped.
